To BLING or not to BLING... is that even a question???

This project was prepared for our challenge on Between The Folds, which is a new Close To My Heart Weekly Challenge Blog!  Every Tuesday we will be offering themed challenges that will challenge your creativity!  We hope you play along!

This week our challenge was to add Bling, Sparkle or Shine to a project!  This one was easy as I absolutely love bling!

I was inspired by the stamp set, Balloon Wishes (D1667), which was part of the August Marker Roll-up Combo Promotion.  I was further inspired by the artwork on page 81 of the new Idea Book (photo below).  I really loved the new Kaleidoscope paper pattern so I just changed up the colors to concentrate on the purple and pink.  I added a little more bling and a few extra layers here and there and voila!  That's what I love most about our "catalogs"... they really are Idea Books!!!

Here is a close look:

Here you can see the White Shimmer Trim, White Enamel Gems from the Grey Enamel Gems collection and the small clear sparkles from the Sparkles Clear Collection.  I colored the sparkles with the Lavender Shin Han Marker.

Here you can see more of the clear sparkles, colored pink and purple, with the Cherry Pink and Lavender Shin Han Markers. I also used Liquid Glass on the row of pink dots and the little stripes. Sometimes all you need is a little Liquid Glass to give parts of your pattern an enamel look.

Products used in this project are as follows:

CTMH Exclusive Cardstock
Colors: Pixie, Gypsy and White Daisy

Shin Han Markers: Colors: Cherry Pink, Lavender, Tender Pink and Peony Purple

Kaleidoscope Paper Pack
Balloon Wishes Stamp Set
Artiste Cricut Collection
Sparkles Clear Assortment
White Shimmer Trim
Grey Enamel Gems
Don't forget to check out the inspiration from the other designers over at Between The Folds Weekly Challenge... we hope you will play along!

    1. Nadine, do you mean the Marker Roll-Up special? I wasn't aware it was not available in Canada. :(
